VDM is Expanding with a New Subsidiary Company to Moldavia
After setting up “Saarbrücker Verlag für Rechtswissenschaften”, a new publishing house specializing in jurisprudence, the inventive company VDM has now founded a new business in the service sector called MooreBooks! Publishing GmbH. Based in Moldavia's capital Chisenau, this division supports the VDM publishing group by managing authors and scripts. Christoph Schulligen and Jürgen Gerber are the Managing Directors of MoreBooks! and Livlu Oboroc is the Head of the Chiseanu office.

Mauritius ahead of Germany
As to economic freedom Mauritius is ahead of Germany, which – according to the index „Economic Freedom of the World“ – internationally has dropped to place 27. The small African island grants a free employment market, thereby facilitating companies the raising of outside capital, as reported by “Die Welt” September 14th. Already since 2006 the VDM group on Mauritius relies on this, i.e. the main part of VDM Publishing House Ltd. activities with soon 100 staff members is carried out here. Larger freedom – more books!

Saarbrücker Verlag für Rechtswissenschaften (SVR)
Since September 2009 the VDM group has been enriched by one more publishing house. The newly founded “Saarbrücker Verlag für Rechtswissenschaften” (SVR) publishes dissertations, inaugural dissertations, commentaries, celebrating publications, text-books as well as research- and conference-reports, focussing on law-scientific fields. In charge of this publishing house is Mrs. Dr. Katrin Martin, who since 2007 works for VDM and is also responsible for “Südwestdeutscher Verlag für Hochschulschriften” and the entire university cooperation.
